	PAINTING INFORMATION
	The Hal Empie Gallery is actively seeking to buy and consign original western works by Hal Empie. We are also searching for the original Hal Empie western cartoon postcards called Empie Kartoon Kards. The Hal Empie gallery purchases and consigns original paintings by Hal Empie. We have acquired works through estate settlements, individuals with no heirs, collectors that are downsizing, divorces, and various other circumstances. There are many reasons why art resurfaces for resale. If you are interested in selling or consigning your original Hal Empie painting, or if you would like a courtesy evaluation, please carefully follow these steps: Send photographs, 4"x6" in size or larger or no larger than 5"x7". Must be acid-free photo paper (please do not send photos/info by email). Photograph the fronts and backs of each piece. Do not take out of frame. If there is information on the back, if it does not show up in a photo, please write it on a separate piece of paper. Photograph signatures, dates, titles. Photograph any wear, tears, cracks, chips or scratches....if any. If your painting is on canvas, take it out into the bright sunlight and inspect it for tiny hairline cracks. Note, if any, in a photograph. Be sure to include the frame in at least one of the photos. Please include dimensions of the work, and not the dimensions of the frame. Provenance: Rightful owners name, names; how and when painting was acquired. There is no charge for this service. In lieu of a fee we keep the photographs. All photographs will be donated to one of the archives that house Empie family papers. These archives require the specifications described above. After you receive the information, you can then make your decision. If you do decide that you would like to sell or consign the piece, please contact us and we will be happy to send all the paperwork for your consideration.
